Prayer Requests – 20th August 2017

Suggestions For Your Prayers…

  • People in places of physical threat. The landslide with great loss of life in Freetown Sierra Leone. The millions affected by flooding in Nepal, NE India and Bangladesh. Cholera affecting large numbers of children in Yemen. The residents and tourists in cities where terrorist attacks have taken place, especially in Barcelona. Also the high tension in Charlottesville USA fuelled by deep rooted prejudice. Please pray for Christian relief workers, ministers and churches to show love of neighbour and witness to the assurance that comes from trusting God

  • Students who have received A level results and awaiting GCSEs. Pray they would not become overconfident nor be undermined but discover a godly perspective as they look to the future

  • Festive have sent us this prayer request: Please pray for Festive as we approach the new term. Pray that workers will be able to connect with lots of Christian students across the country to help inspire and equip them to share their faith and live for Christ whilst at college. Pray for new CUs to start up and current ones to grow and particularly pray for students starting in year 12 this term

  • Restraint between nations fearful of attack. Pray that God would be at work among the people and leaders of North Korea and all other leaders engaged in diplomacy to avoid actual use of weapons

  • Pray for Riseley Primary School and the huge task of moving in. For staff and volunteers to have the stamina they need to give a really good welcome to the first pupils in the new buildings. Head teacher to make good decisions regarding many details

  • Leaders and members on all Summer Ventures

  • For those dealing with mental health issues
