Prayer Requests – 2nd July 2017

Suggestions For Your Prayers ….

  • Give thanks that the Lower School has been rated as Outstanding in the recent SIMAS inspection with reference to its ethos and standards as a church school. This reflects many years of consistent and prayerful work, especially from the Headteacher and the Chair of Governors, supported by staff and governors. Please be praying for these strengths to be effectively established in the new Riseley Church of England Primary School. Also give thanks that the new classroom units are now in place and pray for all the work to be done fitting them out to be ready for children to arrive early in September
  • People preparing for marriage this year
  • Students preparing to graduate and planning how to approach the future. Pray that they would be prompted to think about God’s concerns and purposes for them
  • In the shock and sadness following the Grenfell Tower fire, pray for those who now feel vulnerable and the councils and other services faced with difficult judgements about how to offer care and enduring protection. Pray that questions raised would lead to a reassessment of financial priorities in relation to valuing people’s lives
  • Remembering God’s sovereign hand, pray for our leaders and those who have a wide influence on public opinion or policy. Ask that they would not be overwhelmed by the intensity of reaction to events and criticism, but would have stamina and courage to act according to conscience for the good of others
  • For the bereaved, the sick and the suffering. Those who are facing pressures of other kinds. Pray they would be conscious of God’s comfort and strengthening presence
  • Those on the Growing Leaders course and their mentors
  • Give thanks for those who are promoting gospel ministry and faithful Bible teaching
