Prayer Requests – 15th January 2017

To Prompt You This Week As You Pray

  • People who are concerned for or caring for someone close to them who is ill or in trouble. Ask God to grant them opportunities to show Christ-like love, discerning when to share words of encouragement or bring words of challenge

  • All the bereaved as they grieve and also deal with ongoing practical consequences

  • For the lower school preparing for the changes taking place in September. For the Head Teacher, the staff, the Governors, diocesan and local authority advisors. Pray for good handling of relationships during the demands of a period of significant change affecting both the lower and middle schools

  • Our youth and children’s group leaders, and a new TFG (Time for God) group beginning this month with Fusion contacts

  • Those on the Growing Leaders Course that the time and thought invested would be fruitful

  • Proposed Easter Holiday Club Wed 12th and Thurs 13th April. Core team as they meet to plan and prepare. Enough leaders to be able to take the time from work to help

  • Compassionate care of migrants and refugees in the long term. Especially for practical ways of avoiding the high number of deaths as people try to cross the Mediterranean

  • People who are hoping for a new start, including Christians who have resolved to read the Bible more regularly and be more prayerful. Pray that each of us in All Saints would grow in our discipleship as we serve and worship God and seek to love our neighbour as ourselves

  • Christians facing doubt and temptation to have conviction of the truth and courage to act in obedience. Pray they would receive encouragement from other Christians
