Prayer Requests – 6th November 2016

To Consider As You Pray This Week…

  • For all who are grieving

  • Those who are faced with complex decisions regarding care for family and elderly relatives

  • In the USA presidential election on Tuesday, that many would seek God’s wisdom and that he would grant clarity of thought and direction to voters. Also the people of Philippines, Turkey, Columbia, Pakistan and across the Middle East where the stability of politics and leadership appear so vulnerable. That God would equip Christians for witness whatever the outcome

  • Pray that all we have been taught would help us to grow in accordance with God’s purposes for us as a church family. Give thanks for the encouragements and challenges received through clear teaching from Colossians at the Church Weekend

  • For the people from our congregation and other local churches attending a CPAS Leaders training course. To be led more by Jesus; to lead more like Jesus; to lead more to Jesus

  • Those who are under stress because of the pressure of work or considering life changes

  • For our Christian brothers and sisters caught up in desperate situations such as the battle for Mosul and many other towns in Iraq and people in the continuing violence across Syria and Aleppo in particular

  • As building plans take shape pray for God’s hand on the development of the new Riseley Primary School (September 2017)  that it would become a valued part of and contributor to our community

  • The Messengers, Open Doors, Barnabas Fund, Mission Aviation Fellowship and others giving practical and pastoral support to those being persecuted for their faith across the world

  • World Vision, Tear Fund and other Christian relief agencies

  • Wise handling of opportunities to help migrants across Europe and North Africa including young people arriving in UK. Over 4,000 have drowned in the Mediterranean this year
