Prayer Requests – 6th December 2015

To prompt your prayers this week…

  • Delivery of the Church Christmas cards in Riseley and Bletsoe. Pray that many would read and think about the leaflet, and that our invitations to friends and neighbours would be accepted and fruitful

  • All who are fearful of loneliness at Christmas time, and the recently bereaved

  • Following the decision of parliament regarding Syria, continue to pray for leaders and that God would mercifully guide them to actions that will ultimately and swiftly lead to the reduction of suffering and the establishing of constructive government with justice for all groups

  • Courage for the Christian groups seeking to give practical and spiritual support in such regions, including Open Doors who have worked in Syria over a long period

  • Pray for the staff of all local schools in the time of uncertainty, that they would be able to teach well. Pray that the Christian foundation and ethos of the Lower School would be able to continue for the benefit of many children in the future

  • Pray for all new mothers and those preparing for a birth

  • Pray for the endurance of all who are managing the daily practical challenges arising from treatment for health issues. Ask that God would help them to know how to pray and that he would give them a deep trust that they are safe in his hands

  • Courage and trust for Christians under attack as they speak the truth of God’s word, privately or publicly
