Prayer Requests – 15th November 2015

To Prompt Your Prayers This Week …

  • Give thanks that European leaders met in Malta and pray that they would now act decisively to implement those ideas discussed which will bring genuine help to thousands seeking more secure homes and better prospects for themselves and their families. Pray for leaders having simultaneously to make such difficult judgements about security in the aftermath of terrorism. Pray for God’s merciful direction on behalf of the vulnerable and his restraining hand against the violent
  • Pray for all in Paris to see clearly how to support one another in their shared grief and shock
  • Pray for clear thinking openness and honesty in all the discussions arising from the consultations regarding local schools and the change to a two-tier system. Especially give thanks for the heritage of our church school and pray that a Christian ethos would be able to continue for the benefit of many children in the future. Ask God to give mental stamina to senior staff and governors
  • Pray for people concerned about family members, to know how to give the right support
  • Pray for those who feel the burden of physical weakness or mental stress. Pray they will come to an increasing awareness of God’s care and have renewed strength and peace
  • Pray for the recently bereaved in the village and beyond – especially for those who are finding grief hard to endure
  • Pray for Christians in Myanmar in the complex political and religious situation following the election of a non-military government. Pray also for Godly wisdom for our politicians and leaders of public service organisations
