Prayer Requests – 8th November 2015

To prompt your prayers this week…

  • The bereaved through war and all who feel the physical and emotional injuries of war directly or through someone close to them

  • Pray for Christians who are facing persecution to have confidence that nothing can separate them from the love of God in Christ

  • Pray for many to know God’s peace through trust in Christ and then to be effective peacemakers in places of conflict at all levels; as individuals, in communities, between nations. Pray for God’s merciful hand to open more doors for negotiations which will lead to reduction of violence and genuine steps to the restoration of battered peoples and nations

  • Clear thinking, openness and honesty in all the discussions arising from the consultation process regarding local schools and especially for wise consideration of the future of our Church School and Margaret Beaufort School

  • Christians who have a role to play in caring for relatives or involvement in significant family events as the balance and responsibilities of relationships shifts and changes. Pray for spiritual wisdom with Christ-like words and actions

  • For everyone who feels the burden of physical weakness or illness and pray for their strength of mind to remember and trust in God

  • That the tension between those who want to show care for refugees and migrants and those who want to suppress and restrain their movements would result in bold decision making from those in a position to influence the situations of so many vulnerable people

  • Give thanks for the provision of funding for a director of Festive and pray for God’s provision of the right person for a demanding job with great potential to benefit 16-19 year olds in 6th Form and Further Education Colleges

  • Give thanks for an end to new cases of Ebola and pray for those working with the large numbers of those who have been bereaved in the affected areas

  • For God’s mercy in world elections to raise up compassionate, courageous leaders with the skill to challenge corruption and promote true justice. God-given wisdom for our politicians
