Prayer Requests – 30th August 2015

To prompt your prayers this week…

  • Christians taking the step of Confirmation, including those from Riseley & Bletsoe being confirmed next Sunday. Pray that they will have increasing conviction and confidence as followers of Christ and be strengthened by the Holy Spirit to meet the challenges which come from honouring God

Psalm 119:112             My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end

  • Many people and students preparing for new jobs, homes, courses and steps in life during September and the coming autumn. Pray they would be deliberate in seeking to honour God in their conduct and find regular Christian contact in church

  • The bereaved. Christians who are struggling with suffering

  • Repentance and the assurance of forgiveness for those dealing with temptation

  • Government and community leaders faced with the pressure of increasing numbers of asylum seekers, refugees and migrants crossing the Mediterranean into Europe. Strength for Christians who have the opportunity to love their neighbour

  • Ask that God would be at work among people around us in Riseley and that through our lives, regular worship, activities and special events many would discover the good news of God’s love for them
