Prayer Requests – 15th June 2014

Please consider these items in your prayers …

Father-like, he tends and spares us, all our hopes and fears he knows,

in his hands he gently bears us, rescues us from all our foes,

Alleluia, alleluia!  Widely as his mercy flows

  • Pray for all with the responsibility of giving fatherly care to children – for patience gentleness, clear direction and providing a good role model

  • That God would grant courage and success to those seeking safety and peace in individual homes or at government level in all the places of conflict. Ask God to block the path of violent groups and frustrate their plans in Nigeria, Syria, Iraq, Ukraine, Egypt, Pakistan

  • All who suffer through persecution, especially our Christian brothers and sisters

  • Pray for the bereaved, and those who are ill, undergoing treatment, in recovery or awaiting results

  • For carers of people with chronic conditions to have patience and stamina

  • Anyone about to take a positive new step in life, such as through job change or promotion, retirement, moving house, marriage, birth, baptism. That there would be a matching step forward in discipleship and spiritual growth. Also for those who are anticipating new burdens, responsibilities, or unwelcome pressures that they would deepen their trust in God and be granted strength to persevere

  • Riseley Lower School and the continuing discussions regarding the arrangement of local schools. Pray for head teachers, staff and governors as they process all the ideas, opinions and information to be able to make wise decisions for the benefit of children over the coming years
