Prayer Requests – 12th May 2013

Things for you to pray for this week …


  • School Governors meeting tomorrow evening, especially for David Dyson and the staff following the challenge of an Ofsted inspection last week
  • Richard Carter whose father, John, died on Friday, and for the rest of his family making arrangements for the funeral in Portsmouth. Pray for all who have been bereaved and for those with  seriously ill relatives
  • give thanks for the encouragement of a survivor rescued from the building collapse in Bangladesh after 17 days, and continue to remember the thousands affected by the 900 deaths. Pray for those who have opportunity to bring Christian witness into such situations to do so with sensitivity and clarity
  • that God would be at work among the leaders of the nations during elections and that Christians in places of oppressive or unstable rule would trust in God’s sovereignty. Pakistan, Guatemala, Libya, Syria, North Korea, Iraq, Zimbabwe, Burma
  • Please pray for Bethany  White as she prepares to go to Japan, with OMF for a  mission trip this summer. She hopes to be prepared for future long-term work with OMF. Please consider whether you could help with her finance (Talk to Martin or Brian) and pray for the training, culture/language barrier and the people she will meet. Thank you
  • Asha and Sangster  (and son Timothy) are in Bangalore. Sangster recently took a whole service and preached at the Presbyterian Church. They are continuing to evangelise through Christianity Explored and a Bible study group. and ask for our prayers for those who come
  • that we will entrust ourselves into Gods hands and be his faithful  servants
