Prayer Requests – 15th July 2012

Things for you to pray for this week …

  • our village life to be safe and inclusive. Pray for those who are working to promote community relationships following the successful events of the Jubilee Weekend. Pray for Munchin’ in the Meadow on August 5th to achieve its goal of safe enjoyment of time together as a community
  • all who are concerned for someone who is ill that they would know how to pray and give the right support and would be able to entrust them to God’s care. Remember Digby Morgan-Jones still unwell but slightly improved in Hinchingbrooke. Pray for Jean and those caring for her while he is away
  • people recovering from operations or coping with intensive treatment
  • Ruth and Matthew married here yesterday
  • continue to remember all who are considering their future as they receive results of exams. Pray they will remember to ask for God’s direction when looking at university or a gap year or begin looking for employment.
  • Karen Jones and the Festive team supporting students in schools and colleges.
  • Sam Pentlow in her new role with Bunyan Meeting in Bedford
  • James Tennant and his family in Saltisford (Warwick)
  • a commitment to be clear about the gospel with sensitivity towards those listening
  • everyone in our country and Japan coping with serious damage to the contents of their homes and the disruption to life and work brought by flooding and bad weather
  • give thanks that the Lower School has been awarded outstanding following the  Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools (SIAS) which took place in May. Pray for staff and pupils approaching the end of term to finish well and enjoy their holidays
  • pray for our church family during the summer months when so many people are away that each time we meet we would take the opportunity to encourage one another and to receive God’s Word. Pray for a good welcome for all visitors
  • pray for members of General Synod to seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness as they debate and vote on matters concerning church organisation and policy
  • discernment for leaders with international influence to know what action to take to restrain violent conflict and to promote a stable peace in countries such as Syria, Sudan, Afghanistan, Mexico. Pray also for Christians to have courage in witness
  • The work of The Messengers
