Prayer Requests – 24th June 2012

Things for you to pray for this week … 

  • Martin at St Albans Diocesan Conference ’Equipped’; Meeting the challenge of Mission and Ministry. Pray for the speakers to teach the Bible clearly so that the gospel would be the central concern of all churches in our diocese 
  • the coordinators of our varied church groups and especially the meeting to discuss Fusion and Omega+ (Friday 29th)
  • in the increasing busyness of life that we would give due priority to the responsibility we have for one another as a church family and that in our gathering together each Sunday we would seek first to glorify God as we hear and respond to his word
  • all who are concerned for someone who is ill that they would know how to pray and give the right support and would be able to entrust them to God’s care
  • people who are confused, fearful or in pain to be granted clarity, peace and patience to endure it and to be wise and obedient according to God’s word
  • Relatives of Dick Ridley (Interment of Ashes of Friday 29th)
  • the leaders and teams preparing talks and activities for summer ventures and for those from our church who are involved
  • continue to remember all who are considering their future as they complete tests and exams and wait for results. Pray they will remember to ask for God’s direction
  • couples preparing to be married or recently married. Women about to give birth
  • the administrative and front line workers for organisations in special areas of ministry or mission, including Open Doors, The Messengers, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Crosslinks, CPAS, Festive,
  • Reform, (Rod Thomas, Chairman) seeking to defend and promote Godly standards in life and doctrine within the Church of England at a critical time of debate,
  • perseverance and hope for Christians in countries with continuing political troubles
  • The Lower School staff, children, and governors. Give thanks for the opportunities presented by assemblies, RE lessons and Aslan’s Club. Also Catherine Veitch and Keith Williams leading  Breakout on Friday lunchtimes at Margaret Beaufort School
