Prayer Requests – 26th June 2011

Things for you to pray for this week …

  •  pray for those confirmed here last Monday ; Heather Shelton, Edward Shelton, Andrew Shelton, Miriam Wallis, Josh Eddon. Paul and Trish Vine (Bletsoe)
  • training weekends for summer ventures. Pray for the overall leaders to depend upon God, following his priorities as they carry the responsibility for the administration and the ethos of the teams. Pray for talks and teaching to be well prepared
  • give thanks that James has settled well into his new challenge and that Esther and Keren are enjoying their new schools. Please pray that Ali would get to know some of the mums at the school gate and that God would show her clearly how best to make use of her time and what role to take in her new community.
  • Christians at school to know how to be good and consistent witnesses and to support one another personally and through Christian Unions. Pray for new leaders to be found now to be ready to take responsibility in September
  • young people trying to make decisions about their future to be aware of what will be helpful for their spiritual life
  • all who are recovering from operations and treatment which has disrupted their normal routines. Pray for those whose poor health is a burden that they may learn greater dependence upon God and grow in faith and trust
  • all who have recently been bereaved to be able to cope with all arrangements but also to have time to reflect on what has happened and be aware of God’s presence
  • the schools in our village, their teachers and head teachers approaching the end of this academic year to work effectively for the good of all pupils
  • couples preparing for marriage
  • ask God to direct your thoughts to a particular need or place in the world and then pray for the people in their need and for Christians to be good ambassadors in deed and word
  • ourselves at All Saints to grow in love for one another and in our appetite for God to teach us and equip us to “conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ” (Philippians 1:27)
